Audrey

Wednesday, September 18, 2013

I have to introduce you to my new love.  She has a beautiful tan, gives me the perfect curves, and is the ideal length for my petite frame.  Readers, let me introduce you to my new trench coat.

I've wanted a trench coat for the longest time, but if you're tiny, you understand finding one that isn't too long is quite difficult.  Macy's provided me with this lovely number, at over 60% off.  I wore it for the first time today and I have to say, I felt as if I was channeling Audrey Hepburn.  As a result, I've decided to name my new love Audrey.  So let's try this again.  Everyone, I'd like for you to meet Audrey.

Has anyone heard of/used the site, Groopdealz?  I tried to do some research into how the site works or its history, but I could not find much.  For some reason, it almost seems too good to be true.  I'd love to hear your feedback, because there are some really cute pieces on there!

Wha What

Wednesday, June 26, 2013

You know what? I'm pretty sure other bloggers can agree with me, but I/we made thrift shopping cool way before Macklemore did. Like this awesome flower print skirt- thrifted last summer for 3 buckaroos! That's enough to make any bargain shopper say, "Wha what wha what?"

In a few short days, Google Friend Connect will be saying goodbye. Still want to keep up with The Petite Chronicles and all of your favorite blogs? It's simple, sign up for Bloglovin'! The process is really easy and the best part? All of your favorite daily reads are in one conveniently organized location.

P.s. I might have copied Kendi a wee bit. Except I'm not tall, so my top isn't really cropped hehe. Sorry I'm not sorry. I could not resist with how adorable her outfit is! (Which come on, when doesn't that gal look fabulous?!)

White

Wednesday, May 22, 2013

I don't know if you can tell from these pictures, but I'm pretty white. Like the blond version of Snow White, white. Being mostly German and Polish makes me a likely candidate for fair skin. For some reason though, my parents tan very easily, but my brother and I cannot.

It doesn't bother me, I've come to love my fair skin! However, during the summer it's difficult not to blind people with the glare from the sun. (You think I'm kidding...) To compensate a bit, I'm trying an aerosol tanner. Hopefully I won't come out orange or streaky!

Do you have any suggestions for a safe means to get a "tan"? I'd love to hear the products you use!

Psychic

Wednesday, March 13, 2013

Here's a little story about this top: I was rooting through some of my mom's clothes that she was giving to charity and this bad boy caught my eye. I tried it on and decided that belted, it looked like a tunic! I haven't worn it too much since I snagged it from that pile, but I was perusing one of my magazines and discovered that a hot trend this spring is railroad stripes. Here, almost sixth months ago, I thrifted one of the top trends for spring 2013. Who knew I was psychic? With my new found abilities, I may just be able to predict your future, but they might be limited to style choices.

TGIF

Friday, February 1, 2013

I'll be frank, these past two days have kicked my ass. Aside from having mounds of homework to do, I also had an exam last night and a 10 page short story due this morning. Although I stayed up entirely too late writing my short story, I'm really pleased with how it turned out. The exam on the other hand, goes something like this: Nutrition Exam 10 Cait 0. I most certainly, inescapably, without a doubt, failed. You win some and you lose some. (Also goes to show I don't do well in the sciences realm)
As for this outfit, I had it picked out to wear yesterday, but then I remembered I would have no time to document it, so here it is for today. I didn't realize when I stepped out of the apartment this morning that I should have probably worn a normal scarf instead of a silk one. Thank God it's Friday. Have a great weekend!

Arctic

Wednesday, January 23, 2013

Thankfully, I'm feeling better. Just in time for the arctic to move into central Pennsylvania. The temperature today was six degrees (nope, I'm not kidding) six degrees. With the wind chill, it felt like below zero. There have been penguin and polar bear sightings actually, the news reporter said there's been a migration due to the extreme temperatures.
Ok, so I made up that tidbit about the penguins and polar bears, but how awesome would that be?! Then maybe my dream of owning a pet penguin would come true. Someday. Since it's cold enough for hell to get frost, I don't really trust my camera outside, so I took some little snapshots of my outfit today. Also anytime I'm outside I have about 20 layers on and I can feel the cold through my thick mittens. Needless to say, I'm not taking off anything to take outfit pictures.

Impressions

Tuesday, January 8, 2013

I received some great news last night! My best friend and I will be standing/dancing for 46 hours straight in a dance marathon that we PSU students affectionately call THON. The weekend is in mid-February and it's a culmination of our year-round efforts to raise money for pediatric cancer. Last year we raised a record-breaking $10.6 million For The Kids! It's a big honor to be chosen to dance, so I'm very grateful and blessed to have this awesome opportunity. It also means I will be getting my booty in gear to get in shape by the weekend to make it as easy as possible on my body. I will keep you posted on developments and if you're interested, check out the website: www.thon.org
I don't know if it was the bright light, how I was smiling, or if I was in a grumpy mood when I took these pictures, but it looks like I'm giving the stink eye in some of them. I'm not sure if you can tell by those posted, but there are some on my memory card with a definite grumpy look. Who knows, maybe I was practicing my Pop-Eye impression for you ladies. That might explain my recent cravings for spinach...

Last First

Monday, January 7, 2013

Today officially marks my last first day of school. I can't believe how the time flies! Ever since I was little, I've always set aside a special outfit for the first day of class, except when I was little my mom picked it out. I've gotten old enough now that my mom doesn't have to pick out my outfits, but she did approve of my buying these pieces, so I guess that counts.
Second grade-me is making an appearance today, but for this first day of school, I've brought the color to my jeans rather than the bright purple vest. Even in second grade I knew how to take outfit pictures. Check out that pose! And my lack of front teeth. Some things never change, but I've got those puppies back again.
Have a Happy Monday!

These Pants

Tuesday, December 11, 2012

Tuesdays (usually) are for me what Mondays are for everyone else in the world. Frazzling and the bearer of bad news. Surprisingly today, Tuesday has redeemed itself...somewhat. I can't say anything overtly great happened to me today, but let's just say Tuesday didn't kick my ass for once and leave it at that. :)
These are my roommate's pants. They are magical (yes, like the Traveling Pants). The back story is, my roomie wore them one day and I asked her if I could try them on because we're about the same size. They fit! Well, my other two roommates decided at that moment to try them on as well; because why the heck not and we're all a bit silly sometimes. Lo and behold, these pants fit every single one of us! And on that day, they became the magical green pants in the apartment. Who knows, maybe our carpet flies and stuffed animals come to life when we're not around. It could happen.
