Capital C

Thursday, July 25, 2013

This outfit is actually from a couple weeks ago when I went to Philly to visit C.  I had every intention of posting my outfit from work yesterday, but the pizza at lunch decided to viciously attack my skirt.  Therefore, it's going in the wash and no post because I didn't get the opportunity to take pictures before the incident.

I've been planning out my upcoming schedules (I'm now working two jobs) and I cannot believe how quickly back to school snuck up on me!  I realized that I have this weekend, next week, and the following week and then it's back to school.  So needless to say, the next couple of weeks are going to be cra-zy with a capital C.  I still have to finish required reading for my internship, pack ALL of my clothes, get some more things for the apartment, and do work for my summer course.  It's going to be a hectic and stressful two weeks.

How are your summers winding down?  Going anywhere fun and exciting?  I'd love to hear about it!! :)

Wha What

Wednesday, June 26, 2013

You know what? I'm pretty sure other bloggers can agree with me, but I/we made thrift shopping cool way before Macklemore did. Like this awesome flower print skirt- thrifted last summer for 3 buckaroos! That's enough to make any bargain shopper say, "Wha what wha what?"

In a few short days, Google Friend Connect will be saying goodbye. Still want to keep up with The Petite Chronicles and all of your favorite blogs? It's simple, sign up for Bloglovin'! P.s. I might have copied Kendi a wee bit. Except I'm not tall, so my top isn't really cropped hehe. Sorry I'm not sorry. I could not resist with how adorable her outfit is! (Which come on, when doesn't that gal look fabulous?!)

Monochromatic...Not

Wednesday, May 15, 2013

I went back to work this week. If you've followed TPC for a while, you know I work part-time at a cosmetics store. Now, I love my job, but it seems like I'll be perfectly nice to people and all I get are complaints in return. It's one of the unfortunate downsides to retail. That and coupons. I hate coupons.

When people are nice, I enjoy going to work and learning about new products. One of my biggest qualms with my job is I have to wear black and white. Since I work mostly in the summer, this is a big damper on my style! (I admit the monochromatic colors do look professional) Hence, the birth of this slightly more vibrant outfit.

Can I tell you how much I love these shorts?! So much. I might have gone a bit crazy at TJ Maxx and that's how these suckers ended up in my drawer faster than you can say $16.99. Also, the sandals I'm wearing are Italian leather. For less than $20. That deal was so good I had to feature two pictures of them! See what a monochromatic work wardrobe does to me?

Ps. I haven't figured out how I'm going to take outfit pictures now that I'm home because my family does not know about TPC. So pardon the poor pictures for the time being, I'm hoping they'll get better! If you have any suggestions, feel free to share!

Loud

Monday, April 15, 2013

I'm not going to lie to you, I was a little nervous to wear this outfit today. I haven't worn printed pants before and on top of it (literally) I decided to pair them with a striped top. Whoa. Talk about adventurous. I felt pretty loud walking around campus today with my pattern mixing.

Regardless of my qualms about printed pants and pairing them with stripes, I really like this outfit a lot! I just may do some more pattern mixing in the future. Keep an eye out!
This Thursday, I'm super excited to be co-hosting the Bloglovin' Collective over on Peacoats and Plaid.  I hope you stop by and check it out! :)
